If you are using XP Pro, the best burning software I've used is CDBurner XP Pro.
yea use windows medium player, or download Nero from the internet
BUY NERO.
Why download something you can make yourself? Get a metal tray, swarm it with petrol, throw surrounded by the CD, set a clash, stand back or you'll burn your eyebrows, presto!



Preferably do it outside, check the language and conditions of the said ingredients to make sure they will fit the purposes.
