hi adjectives, i have a computer that my friend help me to self assembled 3-4 yrs ago, and now i hold a problem with the knock against. i had 2 equal rams, i dont know much just about rams, i singular know this is the type of ram i have -> http://www.ec.kingston.com/ecom/configur...

1 of it is spoilt and my frend threw it away, can i know wat kind of hit can i take to budge with this specific format of push?

Hi.Ram's can classifed surrounded by to two types..

1,sdram

2,ddram

sdram has two jacks contained by the pins.

ddram has one jack contained by the pins.

so u can easily identify wheather it is ddr r sdr run into..
1. RAM is like how much memory you hold. On this post you have a memory module of 256 MB. If the other side have 256 (the one you threw away) then you have 512 MB. Did you know you could get one beside 512 MB of ram to distribute you a total of 756 or so of memory. If you can find the max memory that your computer can use, you could get 512 MB for respectively module. If your computer can use only 1GB of memory, next putting extra memory will be a waste of money. You could not buy 1 GB memory and put them on respectively slot to get 2 GB, your computer would not be capable of use it, and waste of a $100. If fI know the motherboard I could tell you, what you could use, since it is a self made computer.
