Is the power bedside light on the speakers on? If not try reinserting the power cord into the speaker...and try a different outlet. Check your soundcard/speaker connection. Go to audio properties and trademark sure they are not muted.
Click START

Click Control Panel

Click on System

Click on Hardware

Click on Device Manager

Click on the + by Sound, video, game Contollers

*IF* you see any Yellow & Black ! point or Red X REMOVEE them

Shutdown your computer, NOT RESTART

Wait at tiniest 2 minutes then restart computer

Windows SHOULD find and REinstall the drivers

Note: Even IF you don't see the above mentioned ! or X, in recent times remove the sound card drivers anyway, after do the Shutdown procedure
Check the cables! They merely need a bit of impairment for them to stop working.

This happened to me when my guinea pig chewed through them after disappearing it on my computer desk. : )
