My PC crashes if I click on my webcam. What could incentive that?

I go out and bought a new webcam thinking the problem be with my mature one, but when I installed the new one one and the same thing happen. I checked everything I know to check. According to the information on the box, this webcam is compatible with Windows XP home. I don't even hold to be connected to the internet. If I click on the webcam button, the system immediately crashes and the computer shuts down and restarts. Also, impressively strange, ONCE in adjectives the dozens of times I tried to use it, the webcam actually worked beside no problem. It crashed every other time, both BEFORE it worked that one time and after. I have tried to use it surrounded by Yahoo messenger AND in Skype. The system crashed surrounded by both, and as I said, crashed even if I wasn't on the internet. I have an HP Pavilion a335w. I own attached my cam to my laptop and it works fine on there. Any thinking?

Sounds like you hold a hardware problem with your computer. Hardware problems approaching this can be difficult to track down, you will probably need to help yourself to it to a professional.
